EXT. FRONT OF PAUL'S HOUSE: morn

WIDE:

A Sedan Car is parked out the front of a low-middle class suburban house. All of a sudden, a gunshot is heard, then another. A few seconds of silence then a female's scream is heard.

In one singular smooth movement, the camera then moves down to be in level with the driver and passenger windows, which are rolled down. The center of the shot, and the cameras main attention is the front door which is seen through the car windows. The front door is bashed open. The camera recoils back when the door is opened.

Two males rush through the front door carrying a female with her mouth, hands and feet duck taped. one male is TIFF, a 32 year old, the second is E, a fresh faced 20 year old. The female is GINGER, an attractive 27 year old.

TIFF has a back pack over his shoulder. GINGER is struggling and E and TIFF are having trouble carrying her. E drops her feet as they step out through the door and TIFF drags her down the porch step. GINGER kicks frantically, muffled screams.

TIFF

E!

E dodges the kicks as he picks up the legs of GINGER. E is swearing at GINGER, telling her to stop moving. E is frustrated. TIFF reaches into his pocket and gets his keys out, pressing down on the 'boot' button on the key. The boot pops open. They carry her to the back of the car and throw her in.

Front of car:

TIFF and E try to close the boot, but it pops up. E is frantic and tries to put it down again. TIFF gets in the car and throws the back pack in the back seat, he seems calm. The boot pops back open, E again tries to close it, and it opens again. E closes the boot once more, it pops open a little before he jumps on it with all his weight and it slams shut.

E finally hops in the car, looking stressed and his face is splattered with blood.

They drive off.

Fade To Black

Fade IN from BLACK

INT. ROOM: MORN

A bloody beaten 28 year old male named MR SHURVER, is tied to a chair with his mouth duck taped he is wearing boxers and a white tank top, stained with blood. In the foreground is a table with a mobile phone on it. His hair is short, uneven and very messy. MR SHURVER is moaning in pain. We hear the sound of a hammer hitting concrete and MR SHURVER screams in agony.

We again hear the sound of a hammer hitting concrete. MR SHURVER moans and sobs in agony.

The phone lights up and rings in the foreground.

A 24 year old male named JAMIE, pops his head up from the bottom of the screen. He has been crouching by MR SHURVER feet. He looks over to the table. He has blood splatter on his face and a couple of nails in his mouth.

JAMIE gets up and walks over to the table.

Only JAMIE middle in camera shot, revealing a blood drenched hand and hammer. JAMIE picks up the phone and answers, but doesn't say anything.

TIFF (on phone)

We got em'

JAMIE on the phone, a menacing smile spreads. He hangs up the phone. Puts it on the table along with the hammer and picks up a gun, amongst an array of other objects.

JAMIE walks over to MR SHURVER. He grabs a hold of MR SHURVER bloody jaw and pulls his face to meet his own. He spits the nails out to the side.

JAMIE

It’s a shame. All the pain. All the fucking pain. (Laughing under breath)

He drags the gun alongside MR SHURVER'S face, MR SHURVER shrugs and weeps. JAMIE brings his thumb to an opened circular wound on MR SHURVER'S chest and forces his thumb into it. MR SHURVER yelps in pain.

JAMIE

Shh, Sh, Sh.

He continues to push into the wound. MR SHURVER is very distressed. JAMIE stops pushing into the wound and cups MR SHURVER'S face.

JAMIE

It's not gonna be okay

The screen goes black, a muffled scream is heard. The scream is cut off by a gunshot.

-OPENING CREDITS-

black screen:

Two pairs of fast footsteps are heard accompanied by heavy breathing. The footsteps slow.

voice (MR SHURVER)

Wait here.

Single footsteps are heard moving swiftly. They come to a stop. A deep breath is taken.

EXT. OUTSIDE OF DOOR: NIGHT

MR SHURVER is standing next to a door. The door has a window. MR SHURVER takes an object and smashes the window.

EXT. CAR PARK: NIGHT

MR SHURVER and GINGER come running around the corner of a building. MR SHURVER has a backpack swinging freely from his arm. Yells are heard in the distant.

They come up to a small alleyway between buildings. MR SHURVER grabs GINGER by the arm and veers her to this alleyway. GINGER is upset and confused.

MR SHURVER (WHISPER)

you gotta get outta here

Ginger (whisper)

What do you mean?

MR SHURVER (WHISPER)

You gotta get out of here. Just take this and go

MR SHURVER hands GINGER the bag

GINGER (WHISPER)

But

VOICE (YELLED IN BACKGROUND)

YOOHOO!

MR SHURVER (WHISPER)

Run. Just run

GINGER (WHISPER)

what are we gonna do?

MR SHURVER (WHISPER)

i dunno yet. just go!

GINGER (WHISPER)

i love you.

MR SHURVER (WHISPER)

I love you too.

MR SHURVER and GINGER share a kiss before MR SHURVER pushes GINGER in direction down the alleyway. MR SHURVER runs the opposite way.

The 3 men (E, FREDDY and JAMIE) that have been chasing MR SHURVER have seen him run across the building; they break out into a furious sprint.

GINGER stares at MR SHURVER being chased, before running down the alleyway.

MR SHURVER ducks in behind a dumpster, breathing heavily. FREDDY runs straight past the dumpster where MR SHURVER is hiding. MR SHURVER lunges out from behind the dumpster at FREDDY, but gets cleaned up by JAMIE and E.

MR SHURVER, JAMIE and E all fall to the ground. They are a bit confused as to what just happened. FREDDY turns around and sees what has happened. FREDDY runs up and kicks MR SHURVER right in the face as he tries to get up and flee.

FREDDY

Go look for the woman!

E gets up and searches up ahead, whilst JAMIE goes and searches down the alleyway.

FREDDY is left with a groaning MR SHURVER. FREDDY kicks him again in the side.

INT. DIMLY LIT, HAZY POKER ROOM, TIFF House: NIGHT

PAN SHOT - camera circling the actors; only for beginning of scene:

JAMIE, E, TIFF, and FREDDY are sitting at a round table playing poker.

E lays down a full house hand. The others sigh and jeer as E takes the chips from the center of the table. E pile of chips is considerably bigger than everyone else piles. The poker game continues as the dialogue is spoken.

FREDDY

Newbie got some skills.

FREDDY yawns and checks his watch.

FREDDY

TIFF when’s the BOSS coming?

TIFF, obviously tired, shrugs.

TIFF

I dunno. When he gets here.

FREDDY

What kinda answer is that man. We've been waiting all night. I’m fucking tired.

TIFF

FREDDY. He said he’d get here, when he can.

FREDDY

Bullshit. he’s gonna come round when he wakes up, cause he fucking sleeping, cause its 4.30 in the fucking morning...  And that what people do, when its 4.30 in the fucking morning.

TIFF gives an exasperated look

TIFF

FREDDY you know we just have to wait.

FREDDY

Y..(FREDDY begins to have a go but cuts himself off)

FREDDY sighs and takes a mouthful of his beer. The beer is empty.

FREDDY

I’m out

E finishes off his beer

FREDDY

JAMIE, your run.

JAMIE

Make the new kid get it.

E

I went last two times.

FREDDY

E went last time

JAMIE

So, he’s the new kid.

TIFF

JAMIE.

TIFF taps his empty beer on the table.

TIFF

Get the drinks.

CONTINUOUS CAMERA SHOT – FOLLOWING JAMIE:

JAMIE sighs, gets up and walks into the kitchen. JAMIE goes to the fridge and retrieves 4 beers. Pausing for a second and getting a fifth.

He walks the long way back to the poker room. Going via a hallway from another door off the kitchen. JAMIE stops in front of a door. Rearranges the beer in his arm to get one hand free and knocks on the door.

JAMIE

(Clears his throat) Room service.

JAMIE opens the door revealing a dark room. He walks in and puts the beer on a table just by the door and then switches on the light. JAMIE'S silhouette blocks what is in the room. Murmurs are heard.

JAMIE

(Sarcastically) Beer?

JAMIE opens up a beer and splashes it towards the still blocked person. The person is moaning. JAMIE then throws the beer bottle over hand, a slight thud is heard and a groan of pain, the sound of the beer bottle hitting the ground and rolling away is heard. After a slight pause, JAMIE moves to the side to pick up the rest of the beers.

Finally the blocked person is revealed. It is MR SHURVER tied to chair with his mouth gagged. He is less bloody and beaten compared to when we first saw him. And has a lot more hair. JAMIE collects the four beers, and without looking back, with a chuckle and a smirk on his face, turns off the light and closes the door and walks back into the poker room and hands the beer to everyone. Finally sitting down

END OF CONTINUOUS CAMERA SHOT.

FREDDY

All I’m saying is that, if he’s not here by the time I finish this beer. I’m going to bed.

TIFF gives him a “…fine” look.

A buzzer goes off. The conversation stops immediately as they look over to the door, looking as they they've been caught doing something they've not meant to be doing. FREDDY sits back down. The table is calm and quiet. TIFF, looks at FREDDY in a disappointed way. TIFF then stands. The rest follow simultaneously. TIFF with a smirk on his face.

TIFF

Gentlemen.

Signaling for them to leave the table first. They leave the table one by one, each eying TIFF and correcting their clothing, hair etc. TIFF takes a second to correct himself before following the group.

INT. ENTRANCE HALL: EARLY MORN

TIFF meets the group, huddle around the front door. The buzzer goes again as TIFF reaches forward to open the door.

Point of view(pov) of visitor, looking in the door:

The door opens revealing the four eager men, TIFF in front.

TIFF

Good morning BOSS. How are you....?

BOSS walks ahead pushing through the men

BOSS

I’m fine TIFF

BOSS turns to face the men. (BOSS is an older man, and is obviously all about business.)

boss

  I ain't got all day.

INT. ROOM

BLACK SCREEN
CONTINUOUS CAMERA SHOT (POV of MR SHURVER):

The darkness is lightened by the door opening, revealing the silhouettes of BOSS and TIFF. TIFF turns the light on and shuts the door on the others. JAMIE can be seen catching a glimpse of MR SHURVER just before the door swings shut.

BOSS walks in to the room and eyes down MR SHURVER. Then walks over to the table and examines the items on the table (a mobile, a wallet, keys). He picks up the wallet and opens it up, checking the ID.

BOSS

MR SHURVER.

BOSS pulls a photo out from one of the sleeves of the wallet. Studies it. Look over to MR SHURVER. Then puts the wallet back on the table with the photo resting on it.

Boss

MR SHURVER. MR SHURVER, you've had an interesting night?

He walks up to MR SHURVER, looks dead in the eyes.

Boss

I don’t know how much you think you know about what's going on here. So let me... enlighten you. Hm?

BOSS open handed slaps MR SHURVER across the face.

BOSS

Tell me what the fuck you've done with my money.

END OF CONTINUOUS CAMERA SHOT.

BOSS slaps MR SHURVER again. MR SHURVER looks pleading into BOSS eyes.

BOSS

Oh? What money? What money? MY FUCKING MONEY!

BOSS kicks MR SHURVER chair over. TIFF smiles with respect for BOSS. MR SHURVER is now on the ground. The beer bottle from early is seen in the foreground. BOSS kneels on MR SHURVER and gets up close.

Boss

You.

SLAP!

Boss

Your bitch.

SLAP!

BOSS

Took something that didn't belong to you

BOSS stands up and paces in front of MR SHURVER

Boss

Now normally my stance on this subject matter is more or less in favor, but, when you steal from me! (Chuckling) well, that muthafucka better have an army! You? You don't.

BOSS kicks MR SHURVER in the side.

Boss

Hence why you’re in this predicament.

BOSS circles MR SHURVER.

Boss

You stole from me! My hard earned, blood sweat and tears money. You know what I do for a living, MR SHURVER? It’s not, it’s not exactly, legitimate. But what the fuck? I discovered a long time ago, that if you want money, a lot of money. There ain’t no honest way bout it. There is no fucking right or wrong. You do what ya gotta do.

BOSS looks over to TIFF, points to MR SHURVER on the ground. TIFF responds and picks MR SHURVER off the ground, leaving him in his original seating position. TIFF moves back over to the door. BOSS crouches in front of MR SHURVER, looking a lot more sincere.

Boss

Now I’m assuming that’s what you, and your bitch, were thinking. You needed, or wanted money, so you did what you had too. You stole it. What I’m trying to say here is, I can relate. I understand. Hm? I’m also assuming that, you had no idea who you were stealing from?

MR SHURVER shakes his head

boss

I bet it was a bit of a surprise when you came across that much cash? Hey?

MR SHURVER nods his head

boss

And I bet you were even more surprised when my men chased and beat you in the street? (Chuckling) But I don’t want this to get any worse than it has to. And it can get much, much worse. But you don't want that. I don’t want that. I don’t have the time for that. I’m a busy man. I just want my money. You understand? So just tell me, where’s my money?

BOSS quickly pulls the duck tape from MR SHURVER'S mouth. MR SHURVER lets out a small yelp and takes in a huge gasp of air. BOSS waits patiently while MR SHURVER takes a moment to collect his composure.

MR SHURVER

I can get it for you.

BOSS

That wasn't the question. TIFF was that the question?

TIFF

No BOSS, it was not.

BOSS

Where’s my fucking money?

MR SHURVER

I, I, I don't know exactly, but I can find out. I just need to make a call.

BOSS

Call who?

MR SHURVER

GINGER

TIFF

Sounds like a fucking stripper’s name.

MR SHURVER stares TIFF down.

BOSS

GINGER? Is that your bitch?

MR SHURVER

Yes.

BOSS

So, you don't know where the money is. But she does?

MR SHURVER

Yes

BOSS nods agreeing with MR SHURVER.
TIFF consults the table and finds MR SHURVER'S mobile phone. He hands it to BOSS

BOSS

It under GINGER?

MR SHURVER

yeah.

BOSS enters the number but doesn't dial just yet. Then punches MR SHURVER right in the gut.

BOSS

You ask her where the money is. That’s it. Don’t mention us, this, anything. Just the money. She panics, you calm her. As far as she knows, your fine, you just wanna know where the money is. Got it?

MR SHURVER nods.

BOSS dials the number then holds it up to MR SHURVER'S ear. They wait awkwardly as the phone rings out without GINGER picking up.

BOSS punches MR SHURVER again.


BOSS dials again.

GINGER (on speakerphone)

(upset) baby?

Upon hearing her voice MR SHURVER breaks down into tears

MR SHURVER

Hi hon

BOSS pulls phone away from him, covers the mouth piece and glares at MR SHURVER. MR SHURVER realizing, stops his sobbing.

GINGER

Baby, baby, is that you?

MR SHURVER

Yeah it’s me hon, how are you

GINGER now starts crying. MR SHURVER almost loses it again, but catches himself.

MR SHURVER

Shh, it’s okay, hey it’s okay what’s the matter

GINGER

(Sobbing) I thought you we're dead. i didn’t know what to do.

MR SHURVER

No honey, no no I’m fine.

GINGER

(Sobbing) I’ve been so scared.

MR SHURVER

Don’t be, I’m fine. We’re fine. I got away..

GINGER

(cries) where have you been?

MR SHURVER

I’ve been hiding

BOSS indicates to MR SHURVER to get on with it.

MR SHURVER

But I’m okay now. How bout you? Are you safe?

GINGER

Yeah.

MR SHURVER

That’s good to hear. And what about the money?

GINGER

Yeah its with me.

BOSS covers mouth piece

BOSS

Ask her where she is

MR SHURVER

What? No!

BOSS backhands MR SHURVER. GINGER can be heard calling for MR SHURVER on the phone

BOSS

Wherever she is, my money is.

MR SHURVER

No, please don’t hurt her.

BOSS

It’s not about her; it’s about my fucking money. The sooner I get it, the sooner you can see stilettos here.

MR SHURVER looks apprehensive at BOSS. BOSS stares right back at him. BOSS uncovers the mouth piece, GINGER is now screaming.

MR SHURVER

Baby, baby it’s alright I’m here.

GINGER

(Crying and mumbling in distinctively)

MR SHURVER

Where are you? I need you to tell me where you are?

GINGER

I miss you so much.

MR SHURVER

I miss you to honey, and I will come and see you right now.

GINGER

Promise?

MR SHURVER

I promise. But I need to know where you are

GINGER

I didn’t know what to do. I ran to PAUL house.

BOSS hangs up the phone immediately.

MR SHURVER (sobbing)

GINGER! NO! You fucking prick

TIFF comes out of know where and punches MR SHURVER right in the face.

BOSS

Who the fuck is PAUL?

MR SHURVER

What?

TIFF punches him again

BOSS

PAUL! Who the fuck is he?

TIFF lines up MR SHURVER for another punch.

MR SHURVER

Alright alright, please!

BOSS

So?

MR SHURVER

PAUL is GINGER brother.

BOSS

And where does PAUL live?

MR SHURVER

Hey man fuck you, this is-


TIFF punches MR SHURVER yet again, and again, and again in the stomach.

BOSS lights up a cigarette.

TIFF gets the bit of duck tape and tapes MR SHURVER'S mouth shut again. MR SHURVER begins to groan hysterically. MR SHURVER is in obvious pain, and is very distressed as TIFF holds MR SHURVER in place.

BOSS takes one puff of the cigarette and blows it into MR SHURVER'S face. BOSS takes his cigarette and pushes it into MR SHURVER chest.

MR SHURVER'S muffled yelps are heard from the hallway.

BOSS takes away the cigarette and walks over to a table. TIFF begins to beat MR SHURVER around a bit.

BOSS looks curiously at a box under the table. BOSS reaches in and pulls out a pair of pliers.

TIFF takes a spot behind MR SHURVER and pulls his head up by his hair.

BOSS

Now you’re gonna give me an address

BOSS begins to undo MR SHURVER'S fly. MR SHURVER desperately tries to get away.

OFF SCREEN:
-BOSS pulls out MR SHURVER'S penis with his pliers and stretches it out-

He then takes the cigarette from his mouth and slowly moves it down towards MR SHURVER'S penis. MR SHURVER moans pleadingly. TIFF removes the duck tape.

MR SHURVER

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY, OKAY! ALRIGHT!

BOSS still slowly moving the cigarette downwards.

MR SHURVER

FUCK, FUCK! He lives in Warradale.

BOSS stops.

MR SHURVER gasps.

BOSS continues.

MR SHURVER

Ahh um, K, King, Kan, K, Kingston Street

BOSS is just about their, MR SHURVER can feel his pubic hairs burning

MR SHURVER

I don't know the number, I don't, I don't!

BOSS stops, looks at MR SHURVER

MR SHURVER

Please, please, I don’t know, I swear. I’m so sorry.

BOSS looks at TIFF, then takes a draw from the cigarette and begins walking away. TIFF reapplies the duck tape, and slaps him lightly on the side of the face.

BOSS picks up the photo from on top of MR  and both he and TIFF walk out of the room, leaving MR SHURVER to cry by himself.

The close of the door signals the end of the scene.

INT. HALLWAY: DAWN

JAMIE approaches TIFF as TIFF and BOSS walk down the hallway.

JAMIE

What you do to him.

TIFF

Don’t worry about it JAMIE

JAMIE

I could hear something. Some yells, and lot of movement.

TIFF

I said don’t worry

JAMIE

I just wanna know.

BOSS leads them into the entrance hall. Turing to face everyone as he approaches the front door.

TIFF

Shut up.

BOSS hands TIFF the photo.

BOSS

Do what ya gotta do. I don't care if you fucking rip every one of em apart. Get my fucking money.

BOSS opens the door and exits without closing the door. TIFF is about to follow through but JAMIE stops him, JAMIE is eager.

JAMIE

What happened?

Before TIFF can answer BOSS appears back in the open doorway.

BOSS

You wanna know?

JAMIE

Yeah?

BOSS

You wanna know?

JAMIE

Yeah!

BOSS

It’s not your job to know. It’s your job to do what the fuck I tell ya to do! Get my fucking money, and maybe you can ask him yourself.

BOSS turns and leaves. TIFF turns to the group. FREDDY automatically beings to walk forward. TIFF puts his hand out and shakes his head. FREDDY looks a bit embarrassed

TIFF

E, come with me. You two stay here and behave.

E steps forward and TIFF and E exit.

JAMIE and FREDDY make eye contact. JAMIE has a big smile on his face; FREDDY has a serious look on his face. JAMIE bounces to the room where MR SHURVER is being held.

INT. HALLWAY: DAWN

JAMIE runs up to the door of the room that holds MR SHURVER. He opens it and turns on the light. JAMIE stands stunned at the sight of the emotional and beaten MR SHURVER, JAMIE is smiling manically. FREDDY appears by the side of JAMIE.

FREDDY

Holy shit.

JAMIE starts to walk up to MR SHURVER. FREDDY grabs JAMIE'S by the arm.

FREDDY

Uh-ah.

JAMIE shrugs off FREDDY'S grasp but does not try to get closer to MR SHURVER. JAMIE is transfixed as MR SHURVER struggles and moans at the sight of JAMIE and his psychotic smile.

FREDDY

Oi

JAMIE follows FREDDY'S directions and leaves the room.

FREDDY

What the fuck is wrong with you man?

JAMIE

Hey?... let’s get high.

FREDDY switches the light off and closes the door leaving the screen black.

FADE IN FROM BLACK SCREEN

INT. LOUNGE ROOM: DAY

FREDDY is sprawled out over the lounge and JAMIE is lying on a bean bag, both fast asleep. The TV is on. The dialogue from the TV show is heard throughout scene.

A car is heard in the background, pulling into the driveway. Two doors are heard opening and then shutting. Two shadows walk past the lounge room window in which JAMIE and FREDDY have passed out.

The Front door of the house is heard being unlocked. TIFF and E enter into the lounge room via the entrance hall. Both TIFF and E look extremely tired.

E looks at JAMIE and FREDDY and then notices that the TV is on. He proceeds takes a seat and gets comfy. , exhausted, sighs and walks out of the lounge room.

E sniffs and follows his nose to an ashtray on the table. He finds a half smoked joint. Picks it up, along with a lighter and sits back down to enjoy the joint and the TV show.

TIFF leaves E and the BOYS to it.

INT. ROOM

TIFF walks into the room, places the picture back down on top of the wallet. The picture is zoomed in on and it is of MR SHURVER and GINGER. TIFF get on his phone and paces up and down in front of MR SHURVER. MR SHURVER reacts to what TIFF is saying accordingly.

TIFF

We found the house. Go back early tomorrow.

BOSS (ON THE PHONE)

Excellent. Once you get the money, get rid of MR SHURVER and all parties involved. Got it?

TIFF

Yes BOSS.

TIFF hangs up yawns and then looks up at MR SHURVER who is moaning and struggling. TIFF takes a depth breath and then leaves the room.

INT: LOUNGE ROOM

TIFF enters the lounge room. TV show is still playing in the background. TIFF notices that E has fallen asleep with the joint in his mouth. TIFF looks over to the TV; he checks his watch, and then walks over, takes the joint out of E mouth and takes a seat of his own.

FADE OUT TO WHITE

FADE IN FROM WHITE

INT. ENTRANCE HALL: DAWN

TIFF, E, JAMIE and FREDDY are all standing.

TIFF

Keep him alive until our call. You understand? But keep him... interested up until then.

JAMIE could almost jump at the thought of this. TIFF and E turn to leave.

TIFF

Shouldn’t be too long.

The door closes.

JAMIE dances his way through the hallway to the door where MR SHURVER is.

INT. ROOM: DAWN

JAMIE opens the door and turns on the light. MR SHURVER jumps as though he has just been woken up.

JAMIE

Wakey wakey.

FREDDY comes and stands in the doorway.

JAMIE bends down and retrieves a box from under the table and thuds it down on the table.

FREDDY

What you doing?

JAMIE

Playin'

JAMIE has a big smile on his face as he leans the box towards FREDDY showing him what’s in there. (The contents are out of shot for the camera to see) FREDDY is taken a back a bit

FREDDY

I’ll leave you to it then hey?

FREDDY places a mobile phone on the table.

JAMIE

Really?

FREDDY is already walking away.

FREDDY (off screen)

...what the fuck is wrong with you?

JAMIE digs into his box of goodies and pulls out items one by one, placing them in a row on the table.

Item 1. A grater

Item 2. Tweezers

Item 3. Pliers

Item 4. A Machete

Item 5. A box of nails

Item 6. A hammer

Item 7. A gun

Item 8. A ball of rope

Item 9. A lighter

MR SHURVER is absolutely terrified. He starts crying uncontrollably. JAMIE doesn’t seem to notice. He looks at his 'line up' with proud eyes. Then turns to MR SHURVER.

JAMIE dances around him like a boxer would. Punching MR SHURVER a few times. Acting like a champion boxer.

JAMIE makes chit chat whilst punishing MR SHURVER

JAMIE

Do you like Frankenstein? Did you know that Frankenstein wasn’t actually the name of the monster? It was the name of the doctor who made the monster.

JAMIE walks over and asses his table of goodies.

See it was Doctor Frankenstein. Doctor Frankenstein that it’s named after. People seemed to think it’s named after Frankenstein's monster.

JAMIE chooses the lighter.

Jamie

Doctor Frankenstein made the monster out of dead bits of bodies he cut up and sowed together.

JAMIE takes the lighter to MR SHURVER'S hair. Letting it light for a couple of seconds then patting it out. JAMIE lights his hair on fire again.

JAMIE

I did the whole dead body parts thing for a while. My experiments never came to life though obviously, I just did it for fun.

JAMIE pats out the flame on MR SHURVER'S head. JAMIE walks back over to table, throws the lighter back on the table.

JAMIE

And I never sowed them together; I just like cutting them up, mutilating them. But do you know what even more fun than mutilating dead body parts? Can you guess? I bet you know. You get so much more personality with live body parts. They twitch, they move, they bleed. Not to mention the screaming and the crying.

JAMIE points to MR SHURVER on the 'screaming and crying' part.


JAMIE is still assessing his table of goodies.

JAMIE

What shall we use next? Hm? I think... we'll go for this

JAMIE picks up the hammer in one hand and the box of nails in the other. MR SHURVER screams in fear.

EXT. STREET: DAY

E is in the foreground, leaning on the bonnet of the car, yawning and smoking a cigarette, whilst TIFF is seen in the back ground talking to an old lady and pointing to a photo. The old lady nods and points to a house, TIFF looks up to the house and then sincerely thanks the old lady. He walks back over to E.

E has been absent minded looking around at his surroundings smoking and yawning quite a bit.

TIFF

That house over there.

TIFF points out the house to E. E looks over to the house.
E buts out his cigarette and both TIFF and E get in the car.

The camera stays on them until they drive off, then slowly Pans around to the house. This WIDE SHOT of PAUL house stays for a beat then changes to the exact same shot, yet it is the next morning. the sunlight and shadows show this change.

A car pulls up in front of the house. TIFF and E get out of the car and make their way around the side of the house into the backyard.

INT. PAUL HOUSE: MORN

TIFF and E enter through the back door into the laundry then into the kitchen. E is charged by MAN 1 and taken to the ground. TIFF is late to react. MAN 2 enters from another room. TIFF shoots MAN 2 then MAN 1 who is still wrestling onto of E, splattering blood all over his face.

E

FUCK

TIFF and E split up, searching different rooms.

E opens a cupboard in a smaller bedroom. GINGER is cowering in the corner of the cupboard. GINGER is sobbing. E grabs GINGER by the hair. GINGER screams as E throws her onto the bed.

TIFF enters with duck tape in his hand and back pack over his shoulder.

EXT. FRONT OF PAUL'S HOUSE: MORN

WIDE:

TIFF and E carrying GINGER and a back pack come crashing through the front door. (Identical to first scene)

FRONT OF CAR:

TIFF is waiting in car as E shuts boot. (Identical to first scene)

WIDE:

TIFF and E drive off. (Identical to first scene)

INT. CAR: MORN

E looks furious as he wipes his face with a rag. Distant thumps are heard from the boot.

E

SHUT THE FUCK UP!

TIFF chuckles as he takes his phone out and dials a number

E

Fuck you to.

FADE IN FROM BLACK

INT. ROOM: DAY

GINGER is tied up and mouth taped, just like MR SHURVER before her. she is quietly sobbing to herself, rocking back an forth ever so slightly. the door is heard opening and GINGER looks up.

JAMIE

Hi sweetheart. I'm JAMIE

The 'box' is dropped on the far side of the table. in frame just enough to let the audience know what it is.
