In 2009, the Comedy Festival¹s annual celebration of the screen will be
presented as a live event. The Short Film Festival takes the form of a gala
spoof awards ceremony where, incredibly, every single film on the program
has won a major prize as nominated by the filmmakers themselves. Funny short
filmmakers (that¹s the films that are funny and short, not the filmmakers)
are guaranteed to walk away with the gong for the prize category of their
own free choice.

We don¹t have time to exhibit every single prize winner publicly, but a
selection of our faves will be shown at the Melbourne Town Hall on Monday
13th April as a live, ticketed event hosted by Festival funny guy Scott
Brennan ­ in character. Scott will introduce each film in a parody of the
Academy Awards and similar ceremonies, and your film will be screened in its
entirety.
