The shade of a luxuriant tree is a nice place to be in the middle of a hot, Perth summer - especially if you're in the middle of a mid-life crisis like Francine Friday. Ever since she stopped working Francine has felt guilty for neglecting much of the responsibility of motherhood - in favour of building a career in real estate. So in an effort to redeem herself and get to know her own children, she has schemed to bring her son and daughter back to Perth by arranging a surprise party for her mother's 80th birthday! Only it is not actually her mother's 80th birthday, nor is Francine's guilt the only reason why she is so desperate to reunite her family.
