Flake Film Festival- Australia's HIGHEST Short Film Festival
announces the 2008 theme...!
Australia's highest short film festival reels into action with the 2008 theme just being announced as .."LIGHT"... The FFF team are searching high and low, near and far for the freshest filmmaking talent this weird, wild and wacky world has to offer!
Now in it's 6th year, the award winning Flake Film Festival has developed into a unique grass roots film festival which showcases a diverse range of Australian and International films from first time, hobby, student and professional filmmakers. "We are very proud to be an accessible platform for emerging filmmakers, whether they're launching their careers or just expressing their ideas", says festival Director Anthony Trovatello.
Films can be any style or genre, but must be less than 8 mins & of course include the 2008 theme of "LIGHT".You can incorporate "LIGHT" as the main theme or central storyline, an object in the film, it may be symbolic or even in the dialogue. Entries close mid August 08.
Over $15,000 cash and prizes will be awarded across several categories (To be announced soon). Screenings will premiere in the NSW Snowy Mountains, early September 08.
You dont need an excuse to enter Australia's highest short film festival, just a clever idea, camera, PC and a few friends (Or at least some people who will pretend for a day!)
So you'd better get rolling if you wanna see your film in the spotlight!

______________________________________
Flake is not just another film fest, the FFF is a tribute to our good friend "Blakey"who sadly died whilst snowboarding in 2001. We are non- profit fest and are extremely active in developing and producing a variety of youth, arts and community programs, workshops and events. Our screenings have an amazing & unique atmosphere that only comes in a ski town-this ensures your film is enjoyed and talked about long after the premiere screening by people from all over the world.
High quality production values are not essential to enter FFF, just a great idea presented in a good short film. Often, winning short films are simple, but clever , around 5 mins and made by a few friends and crew over a fun weekend (or three or four!). So, whether your a pro- filmamaker, first timer or just handy with a cam- conjour up a story, a few friends, a video camera, PC and get shooting
