Open to all Sydney film-makers The 2006 Inaugural Newtown Flicks Short Film Festival sponsored by JVC and Powermedia invites submissions from all Sydney filmmakers for their annual short film competition. Held over 15-17 April, the festival will feature a showcase screening of short-listed entries and talks by prominent film industry personalities.

Newtown Flicks strongly encourages filmmakers with fewer opportunities and exclusively supports Sydney's creative underground providing a network of knowledge and contacts for aspiring artists and ongoing opportunities for the screening of their work.
