What is a film maker?

(If anyone answers "someone who makes films", they immediately forfeit their right to ever make, watch, or discuss films ever again.)

A film maker can be considered a director, producer, writer, or anyone involved in the film process, for no one person puts together a film by themselves.

(Yes, directors, we include you in that statement.)

Who is qualified to be a film maker?

Well, anyone, technically. You can have a Bachelor Degree in Film and Television, be a certified member of the Director's Guild, or be related to Steven Soderbergh, but there is no specific qualification you need to call yourself a film maker.

(Some people believe that moving to LA is qualification enough, but we'll address that some other time.)
